Passengers Tell What They Saw on Underwear Bomber Flight

The accounts given by the Christmas Day Bomber flight passengers contain information that differs or was omitted from the official versions that were initially released to the public.

Airline passengers may soon lose their privacy, their dignity and their health if new body scanner technology is forced upon them in the name of security and, more importantly, if they acquiesce. Dutch officials have announced that body scanners will be used at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport within three weeks. Schiphol is where the Underwear Bomber made his connection to the Detroit flight he allegedly attempted to blow up.

At 7 min 9 sec into the following video, body scanners begin to be discussed.

There are two types of body scanners. Backscatter models rely on X-rays and the millimeter wave works like radar. X-rays and radar are known to be harmful, and the ill effects would be multiplied for frequent fliers. But that is not discussed in this video. The body scanner companies and the TSA, if asked, are going to have to tell us that what is known to be harmful in this case is not harmful, much like the tobacco companies did about cigarettes until recently.

The former head of El Al, the very secure Israeli airline, finds body scanners outrageous and unnecessary. From what he says, Muslims, who adhere to a religion he says he respects, may torpedo the use of body scanners because of their strong scruples against being seen unclothed.
