Using the old Oahu railway route is a better way to go
Kioni Dudley, president of Friends of Makakilo, which is spearheading the effort to save our prime agricultural lands on the Ewa Plain, writes in today’s Honolulu Advertiser that the Honolulu Rail as planned will be an unnecessary eyesore, will not alleviate traffic congestion and will have a hugely negative impact on Waipahu.

Rail, as planned, does almost nothing to solve existing traffic problems on the west side of O'ahu.
The first station is in a wide-open area planned for a huge shopping center and hotel. It will have 900 parking stalls for rail commuters.
