FDR Deliberately Provoked Japan to Attack

BBC Documentary: Sacrifice at Pearl Harbor

In 1941 FDR knew war with Japan was coming and, to gain the support of the American people and to have world opinion on the side of the U.S., not Japan, he took action to maneuver Japan into striking the first blow. He succeeded when they attacked Pearl Harbor on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941.
