1956 Hungarian Uprising Was against Jews in Government

David Irving, British historian, says he decided to take a break from his lifelong research on Hitler and the Jews to show that it wasn't a fixation of his by writing about something different: the 1956 Hungarian uprising. But what did he unexpectedly find, he says? The uprising started as a rebellion against Jews, who had a thorough lock on the Hungarian government and the secret police, Irving states.

The world at the time (and since) was told that the Hungarians were rebelling against Russian domination. No mention was made of Jews.
