Israel Apologizes to Turkey for Gaza Flotilla Deaths

After a discussion with President Barack Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan to apologize over the nine Turkish citizens killed when the Israeli military boarded their ship in an aid flotilla on its way to Gaza three years ago. Netanyahu today promised compensation.


Does this mean that U.S. taxpayers are going to foot the bill for Israel's actions?
