US to Europe: Take GMO or There Will Be 'Some Pain'

A WikiLeaks cable release reveals that there were threats to France by the U.S. government if it continued to refuse the cultivation of GMO seed there. Monsanto took an active part in strategic planning with the U.S. government to force their GMO products on not only France, but all of Europe.

While not shown in the video, in the U.S. nearly all corn and soybeans are now GMO. Our beef cattle and poultry feed on GMO corn. Along with corn and soybean, almost all canola and cottonseed oil are GMO. Few products in our supermarkets are GMO-free, not to mention chemical-free. The federal government and Hawaii's state legislature, which are both lobbied by GMO companies, have chosen not to have our food labeled for GMO ingredients, so the public is unable to tell definitely which foods contain them.
