Public School's Common Core Is Bad for Our Children's Education

Joe Kent is running for U.S. Congress for District 2 (roughly the rural area of Oahu and all the neighbor islands) on the Libertarian ticket. He is a Maui public school teacher and in this video tells us how our island education system is failing our children.

Joe, who grew up in Hilo, holds a degree in Music Education from Minnesota State University. He has taught in the public school system for over seven years and was named the outstanding teacher at King Kamehameha III Elementary School in Lahaina in 2011. In 2012 Joe attended the Republic National Convention as a delegate from Hawaii. Soon after returning to Maui he assumed the chairmanship of the Maui Libertarian Party and began serving as host on the Maui Liberty Network TV Show.
